Defending her position, Swagata explained her decision was influenced by her previous marriage experience: “I wanted to get to know the person I planned to marry. Two consenting adults chose to live together – how is that a mistake? My first marriage failed, and I was left with fears and doubts about marriage.”
The actress, who married Dr. Hasan Azad in January 2024 at Gausul Azam Jame Masjid, has stated she has not yet received any formal notice. She emphasized that if served with legal documents, she will address the matter through proper legal channels.
